Men's Club Officers and Committees

When the Chesterfield Country Club was purchased by the Glenview Park District in 1006 for the purpose of converting the course into a municipal daily fee course, a small group of men who had played at Chesterfield and who enjoyed golf, formed the Glenview Men's Golf Club. The purpose of forming the club was to provide good fellowship among those who had a common interest in the game of golf. Although the club membership at the beginning was very small, it has grown over the years to approximately 200 members. The purpose, however, has remained the same. The Men's Club was incorporated in the State of Illinois as a not-for-profit corporation June 27, 1983.

President's 2012 Welcome Message

Fellow Golfers,

Welcome to the 2012 season for the Glenview Men’s Golf Club. Please review the website for the 2012 calendar of events, as well as an outline of the activities and programs supported and sponsored by the Men’s club. Click here to Register for the 2012 season.

Over the last 55 years the Glenview Men’s Golf Club has welcomed all golfers of any skill level the opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie, friendship, sportsmanship, and competition available at the Glenview Park Golf Course. As a club, our number one priority is to provide as many golfers as possible the most enjoyment out of their individual golf games. In pursuit of that objective, with the cooperation of the Glenview Park Golf Course staff, we provide: weekly events, team scramble competitions, individual match play, team match play, individual medal play, and tournament play events for our members at all skill levels. We have a competitive event practically every week of the golf season.

As a club, we participate in a Ryder Cup team format competition with the Winnetka (North Shore Cup) and Wilmette (Go Cup) Golf Clubs. Over the years, we have had great fellowship and competition with our Glenview “neighbors” in these events. 

We also have many club social events including cocktail parties, our annual Guest Day outing, Super Bowl party and various lunch barbeques during our golfing events.

This year, we will continue our fine tradition of fellowship and competition that have been the Glenview Men’s Golf Club legacy for a half century.
